Strengths:

Power is the only actual thing he has against the opponent team. If we don’t mention his height, which is something else he can (somehow) use to his advantage, since he doesn't really need to jump that high. He’s at least receptive and works well with his team mates, which helpes them score some points afterall.

Weaknesses:

His skills (except for power) are all considered average. (even less than) He’s never had an actual interest in sports before and reading a lot of books on volleyball don’t change the fact that he’s pretty much useless. He still needs a lot of training sessions before he’ll feel worthy of standing on the same court as his team members. He lacks the stamina that is oh so needed in this sport, as well as the speed and overall agility.

Biography:

Born and raised in a very comfortable home of many (too many) rooms and pools, somewhere in LA, Mitsuru had the typical life of the only child of a very rich family. A family composed of his father, a movie star, and his mother, another movie star. He’s of japanese descent from his father’s side, who apparently comes from a long line of actors, and an italian-american mother from whom he inherited the freckles and the passion for luxury. Because they had the money, they made sure their child would attend only the best schools, education being of utter importance to them. Which is something most probably all parents value and wish for their offsprings, but in Mitsu’s case it only meant boring boarding schools which he despised. So after doing his best to get expelled from a couple of them, daddy Gato and mommy Gato had no other choice but to keep their Mitsu close enough for them to keep an eye on him at all times. So our lucky brat got transferred to a school well known only for the huge number of celebrity kids who attended. Mitsu felt at home since he, himself, had some acting experience from the various commercials and very small roles he had as a child in soap-operas.(plus the very famous parents)

It didn’t necessarily mean it would be a good idea, something his parents realized too late.

Other than the occasional acting (smiling pretty at the camera) gigs and his forever growing popularity, Mitsuru’s childhood and early teen years were rather uneventful. Since mr and mrs Gato were working all the time and thus rarely at home, he had the freedom he so much would have liked to trade for some quality time with daddy and mommy. But freedom was even better if he were to be honest with himself, and boy, did he know how to enjoy it at its fullest. 

That is how, only a few months after turning 16, in less than 24 hours he managed to ruin his perfect life.  He began his day shopping at a new Burberry shop in town where he picked a fight with an actress over a coat (which was worth it because in the end he did buy the coat and the blood stains could be removed), went on to getting drunk with a bunch of irresponsible friends his age (and it only took a few glasses of wine) and ended the night by crashing his brand spanking new car in a tree. Needles to say that money helped in this situation as well but this time, seeing as Mitsuru somehow had to break a lot of rules in order to be happy and ruin the family's reputation, the next day he was put on a plane to Japan and sent to finish his studies there.

And this time he had to do it on his parent’s terms. He would attend a famous yet PRIVATE highschool and he would stop messing around. Conditions which Mitsuru had no option but agreeing with. At least now that he was in Japan he could bother his relatives from his father’s side, especially his cute cousin Yuu

He decided to join the school’s volleyball team on impulse, after attending a game in which his cousin played as a middle blocker for the Bears. He had no previous interest in any kind of sports even though he often worked up (often being several times a week and the reason being “looking beautiful”) and sweating is just not his thing, but he hopes this extracurricular activity will make him even more popular, which is good enough of a motivation for him.

stubborn people even though he is stubborn himself
going to the zoo because the cages are all so small for the animals and he might start crying. again

people touching him, only a few special ones are allowed to do that

Additional Information:

Back at home, in LA, he owns (actually it’ s the family pet) a Golden Retriever of 4 years named Pup. Initially, Mitsu named him Sir Charles Helios Drago the 3rd but it the doggie refused to react to this amazing name so they went back to calling him Pup.

He knows more about fashion than his parents which basically translates to he spends even more money on clothes, shoes and jewelry than his movie star parents. He buys a lot of fashion magazines and has a personal stylist whom he often talks to through skype, even though he is perfectly capable of choosing his own clothes.

Nobody knows when he has time for studying but his grades are not actually that bad. He’ll never be at the top of his class yet he loves to brag about his history, french, drama and music skills

Mitsu holds a special, weekly event in his room, because he doesn't share it with anybody and he needs company often. "Poker Night" is a thing, join every friday night, and don't worry, you don't need to bring anything with you, Mitsu would have already prepared the snacks, the cards, the special poker table (lord knows how he got the permission to own one in the dorm). And no, strip poker is not a thing, but they might use snacks instead of money from time to time. Mitsu is quite good at this game, but he might pretend he isn't and lose on purpose to make his friends happy. Everybody is invited.

He had to wear glasses as a child, ever since he was 5. He still wears glasses even though he sees just fine without them as well. They remind him of childhood so they have a very relaxing effect.
